consider high-quality full-length fiction; general
non-fiction (especially biography, travel, history). Material submitted on an
exclusive basis preferred.
No children's, short stories, poetry, plays, screenplays, cookery,
gardening, Mind, Body & Spirit, scientific/ academic/
specialist non-fiction or any illustrated books.
Initial approach should consist of a brief description of the book plus
2-3 sample chapters. Return postage essential. Email attachments will not be
opened and faxed submissions will not be considered. No reading fee.
Fiction for 9-12 year-olds and teenage fiction (home 15%, USA 20%). No
children's non-fiction or illustrated books. Also handles adult fiction and
non-fiction; approx. one-third of list is for the children's market. Send
letter plus synopsis and 3 chapters. Will not accept submissions by email or
fax but initial enquiry may be made by email.
